    Holbox whose meaning in Maya is "black hole"; It is a small island located at the northern end of the state of Quintana Roo, with an extension of 40 km long and 2 km wide, belongs to the Yum Balam Biosphere Reserve and Protection Area; It is linked by several channels that connect to the sea and the Conil lagoon, also known as Yalahau Lagoon.This Mexican paradise island offers us a beautiful white sand beach, a gorgeous sea notoriously known for it’s different shades of blues and turquoise, with a perfect temperature, where you can enjoy enormous tranquility and a colorful landscape; full of magical sunsets, possibly the best sunsets in the region, bird sounds and the great calm that Holbox gives us; in the last decade it has become one of the most sought out destinations for foreign and national tourists.

    How To Get
    Whether you come from Cancun, Playa del Carmen or another nearby site, the first step to get to
    Holbox is to arrive at a small town called Chiquilá since it is the maritime link
    point to take the ferry which takes you to the island.
    You can reach Chiquilá your own your own or in a rented car, bus, shared shuttle or
    private transfer; once you arrive in Chiquilá you must take the ferry that takes you to Holbox
    or through a local fishermen's boat.
    There is also the possibility of hiring an air transport that takes you directly from
    the Cancun airport to Holbox.
